Before I encountered what is broadly referred to as the RW in these online spaces, I was a pretty standard Social Dem but dislocated in the rural US. I went to university and experienced those that I thought were “my people” and realized how unappealing it was. I made a solid friend group with other men who were motivated and felt disenchanted with liberalism, and I don’t think any were particularly sexually neurotic or worried about “sexual market value.” Maybe that’s because we came to these ideas in person during Trump 1.0 and not through chat rooms, but I don’t think sexual anxiety is the primary motivator for the Right. Had a hard time reading through most of it and will finish all parts (Gen Z cooked attention span), but your last point about speeding tickets and White males in red-state conservative areas being under the most restriction, and under the yoke of Boomer conservatism, is probably the best representation I've come across. Yes me too. Growing up had a sense of freedom. That is still the case in many parts of Europe though you have to pick your place now. My daughter roams free in Portugal but you can find places in Netherlands as well. I loved the last few paragraphs in essay too, and the mention of speeding reminded me of myself a little (at times a lead-foot) but mostly it made me think of my own son, as a teen, because he had a rebellion streak at age 16-17, and one thing that happened was a “wreckless driving charge” when he had just turned 18(!); his first encounter with law enforcement. The charge was due to the speed ~25mph over. It was not a felony charge, but a misdemeanor, & resulted in a legal conundrum right as he entered “legal adulthood”. Arguably, the fact that it was a charge vs a regular traffic ticket made a few other things more difficult for him later.

If one goes to US gyms where there’s a large presence of high schoolers or college aged youth, you’re guaranteed to see a large percentage with anime merchandise, clothing, tattoos, stickered water bottle etc. It wouldn’t surprise me if many were partially inspired by idealized sculpted physiques common to the medium. This not just unique to college educated either… during my time in the armed forces, “which anime do you like?” was a common topic of discussion… the fact that one watched and liked anime at all was already seen as a given, unnecessary to ask if one even watched anime at all. This probably deserves a more thorough discussion with actual data behind it, but the point is that youth subculture “nerd vs jocks” idea has completely broken down in recent years…. it’s just as likely for Mr. Chad homecoming star athlete to watch anime now as it is for dysgenic fat nerd types to not watch it

I frequent bars in my Midwest city where the clientele is frequently 50% or more black. A lot of the white women who go to these places look like the average rw conception of mud sharks: tatted to the gills, overweight, heavy drinkiners, e-cigarette users, the full range of urban lumpenprole behavior etc. They will enjoy the attention from black men but when black men try to make a move to escalate romantically they are almost always immediately shot down. I think many white women will give lip service about being willing to date outside their race but the revealed preference is another thing.
In addition, the majority of "Hispanics" in the Bronx and the northeast are Puerto Rican and Dominican. The same is true of most Florida "Hispanics" who aren't Cuban.
Most Dominicans look indistinguishable from the median African-American (who average around 20-25% Euro ancestry) while many Puerto Ricans have obvious sub-Saharan features. If you see a mugshot of a black man with a Spanish surname, that person is most likely Dominican.
It has always been the case that intermarriage between Puerto Ricans/Dominicans and African-Americans is high because they are both phenotypically and culturally similar.
Interesting article and I commend the effort, but I think some of the conclusions reached are too strong based on the data. The increase of births to black fathers by bottom quartile mothers is probably more of a reflection of changing fertility habits in general as opposed to some type of cultural or sexual preference.
The lower income, lower educated are less likely to use contraceptives correctly, delay gratification, or to family plan and thus get knocked up much more easily. The top half of women have other things going on in their lives; education, careers, etc. and thus delay child birth until the 30s or even their 40s. I think if there was a genuine preference for these men driven by the media or some type of pseudo "phallic cult" as you put it you'd see this reflected in the partners of higher status liberal white women who are in general extremely sensitive to social trends and influence, but you don't. You actually see the opposite, as you move up the white woman education and social status ladder partnerships with black men drop off a cliff. Even in 2026, with all the wokeness and progressivism we have, that pairing is still generally considered low status. You could argue this is due to assortative mating and that there are not many black males around as they move up the ladder. That's true to some extent, but even in that case it would still be evidence that the alleged preference either doesn't exist or is weak since it doesn't overcome any of those other factors and is negatively correlated with increasing female status.
I think you also missed the mark when you talked about black cultural representation. You seemed to dismiss the idea that rap was in decline as merely a matter of how these genres are classified, but that's just not true. Anyone is free to look at the billboard hot 100. It's totally different now than it was even 3 years ago, let alone 5+. As of writing this post, by my count there is one black male in the top 20 and it's Drake, a guy who has been around forever and is basically a legacy act at this point. People also like to talk about the extent to which country has been influenced by hip hop. That's obviously happened, but Ella Langley's song, which is the most popular country song in decades probably, has basically no discernable hip hop influence.
I fail to see how black cultural prominence will survive likely future American demographic changes. A plurality hispanic with significant asian and indian minority America will not care about black cultural output the way a white majority America did. The black population is also rapidly aging (median now approaching 40) so there's just going to be fewer of them around to make trends.
Anecdotally I just don't see a lot of what is asserted here playing out on the ground level. I guess a lot of it depends on your priors and what you considered "common" or "a lot", but as a people watcher I don't really see that many BMWF couples. The clear majority of couples are still monoracial.

East Asians, Southeast Asians, and, to a somewhat lesser degree, Indians show the opposite pattern: females marry out much more (Canada: 6% of Korean men marry outside the group, compared to 15% of Korean women; UK: 75% of UK-born Chinese women marry outside the group; Australia, first generation: 52% of Filipino women, 53% of Indonesian women, and 81% of Thai women marry outside the group — for men, only a fraction of that share).
Somewhat distinct are Muslim communities in Europe, where the gender asymmetry works differently due to religious rules (UK: 10% of British-born Pakistani men marry out, compared to only 3.5% of Pakistani women).
A peculiar and specific case is France, where all kinds of outmarriage are more common, and interestingly, the gap between outmarriage rates for Black men and women is much smaller (56% of married Black men vs. 50% of women have a white partner).

The study looks into white-black intermarriage rates in various multiracial countries. Now, as for your inquiry about certainty, it is true that France is tricky because they do not collect any ethnic/racial data, so the authors used a proxy based on country of birth: "White" = born in France, with both parents born in France or in other European countries; "Black" = born (or with parents born) in sub-Saharan Africa or the French overseas departments (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion). So one should take this more as a general trend rather than really dwell on the precise percentages, because there will of course be some black people born in France with parents also born in France, etc. But you can find quite abundant sociological literature on the exceptionally high rates of intermarriage in France, even with Muslims. The French are simply rather assimilationist. So I think the French exception in this regard makes sense, even though it might be a bit smaller than the data suggests.
As for the UK, there is a good abundance of official data, since the UK is the only European country that uses racial/ethnic terms in its census instead of nationality. Both studies (the one on the UK specifically and the one on Black-white marriages across countries) simply use UK Labour Force Survey data on marriages, so official UK data. Now, the data are from 2002–2007, so not really up to date, but I think the general trends are relatively clear, and since they, in my opinion, underline certain biological facts of attraction, they are unlikely to change massively.
You can even go to the Wikipedia page on the Mixed (United Kingdom ethnicity category) at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixed_(United_Kingdom_ethnicity_category), which uses official 2021 UK census data, and you will find that Black-white and Asian-white couples together produced roughly two-thirds of the rapidly growing UK mixed-ethnicity population. If you combine that with the Labour Force Survey data from the studies above, it becomes pretty clear that a lot of it will be Black males (especially of Caribbean origin) with white females, and white males with Asian females — for example, in the 2002–2007 period, 23 percent of Chinese women in the UK married a white British husband, compared with only 9 percent of Chinese men who married a white British wife. Hence, a Chinese woman was more than twice as likely to marry a white person than a Chinese man. Let me know if you want some more data to explore. But generally, the US simply has the most detailed "racial" data in the world.

Before I encountered what is broadly referred to as the RW in these online spaces, I was a pretty standard Social Dem but dislocated in the rural US. I went to university and experienced those that I thought were “my people” and realized how unappealing it was. I loved the last few paragraphs in essay too, and the mention of speeding reminded me of myself a little (at times a lead-foot) but mostly it made me think of my own son, as a teen, because he had a rebellion streak at age 16-17, and one thing that happened was a “wreckless driving charge” when he had just turned 18(!); his first encounter with law enforcement. The charge was due to the speed ~25mph over. It was not a felony charge, but a misdemeanor, & resulted in a legal conundrum right as he entered “legal adulthood”. Arguably, the fact that it was a charge vs a regular traffic ticket made a few other things more difficult for him later.

I frequent bars in my Midwest city where the clientele is frequently 50% or more black. A lot of the white women who go to these places look like the average rw conception of mud sharks: tatted to the gills, overweight, heavy drinkiners, e-cigarette users, the full range of urban lumpenprole behavior etc. They will enjoy the attention from black men but when black men try to make a move to escalate romantically they are almost always immediately shot down. I think many white women will give lip service about being willing to date outside their race but the revealed preference is another thing.
In addition, the majority of "Hispanics" in the Bronx and the northeast are Puerto Rican and Dominican. The same is true of most Florida "Hispanics" who aren't Cuban.
Most Dominicans look indistinguishable from the median African-American (who average around 20-25% Euro ancestry) while many Puerto Ricans have obvious sub-Saharan features. If you see a mugshot of a black man with a Spanish surname, that person is most likely Dominican.
It has always been the case that intermarriage between Puerto Ricans/Dominicans and African-Americans is high because they are both phenotypically and culturally similar.

Interesting article and I commend the effort, but I think some of the conclusions reached are too strong based on the data. The increase of births to black fathers by bottom quartile mothers is probably more of a reflection of changing fertility habits in general as opposed to some type of cultural or sexual preference.
The lower income, lower educated are less likely to use contraceptives correctly, delay gratification, or to family plan and thus get knocked up much more easily. The top half of women have other things going on in their lives; education, careers, etc. and thus delay child birth until the 30s or even their 40s. I think if there was a genuine preference for these men driven by the media or some type of pseudo "phallic cult" as you put it you'd see this reflected in the partners of higher status liberal white women who are in general extremely sensitive to social trends and influence, but you don't. You actually see the opposite, as you move up the white woman education and social status ladder partnerships with black men drop off a cliff. Even in 2026, with all the wokeness and progressivism we have, that pairing is still generally considered low status. You could argue this is due to assortative mating and that there are not many black males around as they move up the ladder. That's true to some extent, but even in that case it would still be evidence that the alleged preference either doesn't exist or is weak since it doesn't overcome any of those other factors and is negatively correlated with increasing female status.
I think you also missed the mark when you talked about black cultural representation. You seemed to dismiss the idea that rap was in decline as merely a matter of how these genres are classified, but that's just not true. Anyone is free to look at the billboard hot 100. It's totally different now than it was even 3 years ago, let alone 5+. As of writing this post, by my count there is one black male in the top 20 and it's Drake, a guy who has been around forever and is basically a legacy act at this point. People also like to talk about the extent to which country has been influenced by hip hop. That's obviously happened, but Ella Langley's song, which is the most popular country song in decades probably, has basically no discernable hip hop influence.
I fail to see how black cultural prominence will survive likely future American demographic changes. A plurality hispanic with significant asian and indian minority America will not care about black cultural output the way a white majority America did. The black population is also rapidly aging (median now approaching 40) so there's just going to be fewer of them around to make trends.
Anecdotally I just don't see a lot of what is asserted here playing out on the ground level. I guess a lot of it depends on your priors and what you considered "common" or "a lot", but as a people watcher I don't really see that many BMWF couples. That's not to say you don't see it, but it's less common than you would think based on how often you see this pairing represented in media and twitter discourse. The clear majority of couples are still monoracial.

I don't think that "sensitive young men's" sexual opportunities are being soaked up, secretly, by black athletes. Black athletes are not interested in the women in the nerd's dating pool. So I don't think this explains why nerds are such extreme K selectors who often do not marry or reproduce until their 30s.
Athletes are, of course, nerds themselves - the obsession, the perfectionism, the asociality. They are sex nerds. They are able to attract women who will simply act as a help-mate who will not interfere with their projects or expect any real input on their part.
We've told women to be nerds and provided both men and women with more nerdy things to do. This raises the opportunity cost of trying to get laid and the amount of desirability a prospective partner needs to have.
There are two potential solutions - the very casual sex approach of the 60s and 70s where even the grossest people get laid all the time or the promotion of monogamy where partners learn to accommodate each other's special interests.
I also think that female birth's should be incentivized up to 55% of the population. Men have way fewer ways of dying nowadays. This would provide more opportunities for less desirable males to find women interested in partnership, some females more indexed on attractiveness would have to accept mistress status.
Your last paragraph unfortunately satisfies a form of Sailer‘s law of female journalism. How would you ever get women to accept such a proposal? You would have to do it secretly…maybe the feminist attempt to normalize selective male abortions was such a failed attempt but this is a highly questionable approach…

Highly interesting article. You've been producing great pieces lately. I wrote on a somewhat similar topic in the past (https://substack.com/@kaiserbauch/p-175173191), with less psychologizing and less of a US-centric focus, and more data crunching across different countries.
Especially throughout the Anglosphere, the broad patterns are very consistent. Black males marry out much more than Black females (UK: 27.7% of married Black men have a white wife, compared to 18% of married Black women). East Asians, Southeast Asians, and, to a somewhat lesser degree, Indians show the opposite pattern: females marry out much more (Canada: 6% of Korean men marry outside the group, compared to 15% of Korean women; UK: 75% of UK-born Chinese women marry outside the group; Australia, first generation: 52% of Filipino women, 53% of Indonesian women, and 81% of Thai women marry outside the group — for men, only a fraction of that share).
Somewhat distinct are Muslim communities in Europe, where the gender asymmetry works differently due to religious rules (UK: 10% of British-born Pakistani men marry out, compared to only 3.5% of Pakistani women).
A peculiar and specific case is France, where all kinds of outmarriage are more common, and interestingly, the gap between outmarriage rates for Black men and women is much smaller (56% of married Black men vs. 50% of women have a white partner).
So while the basis of these phenomena is surely biological, there are also clearly cultural issues in play.
Do you have sources for concrete and certain info on France and England? I found only some on the latter and not reliable enough.

The study looks into white-black intermarriage rates in various multiracial countries. Now, as for your inquiry about certainty, it is true that France is tricky because they do not collect any ethnic/racial data, so the authors used a proxy based on country of birth: "White" = born in France, with both parents born in France or in other European countries; "Black" = born (or with parents born) in sub-Saharan Africa or the French overseas departments (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion). So one should take this more as a general trend rather than really dwell on the precise percentages, because there will of course be some black people born in France with parents also born in France, etc. But you can find quite abundant sociological literature on the exceptionally high rates of intermarriage in France, even with Muslims. The French are simply rather assimilationist. So I think the French exception in this regard makes sense, even though it might be a bit smaller than the data suggests.
As for the UK, there is a good abundance of official data, since the UK is the only European country that uses racial/ethnic terms in its census instead of nationality. There is, for example, this study, https://scispace.com/pdf/anthropometry-of-love-height-and-gender-asymmetries-in-38dpdugc51.pdf, which researches asymmetries in inter-ethnic marriages in the UK and proposes height as the mechanism that makes the difference. Both studies (the one on the UK specifically and the one on Black-white marriages across countries) simply use UK Labour Force Survey data on marriages, so official UK data. Now, the data are from 2002–2007, so not really up to date, but I think the general trends are relatively clear, and since they, in my opinion, underline certain biological facts of attraction, they are unlikely to change massively.
You can even go to the Wikipedia page on the Mixed (United Kingdom ethnicity category) at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixed_(United_Kingdom_ethnicity_category), which uses official 2021 UK census data, and you will find that Black-white and Asian-white couples together produced roughly two-thirds of the rapidly growing UK mixed-ethnicity population. If you combine that with the Labour Force Survey data from the studies above, it becomes pretty clear that a lot of it will be Black males (especially of Caribbean origin) with white females, and white males with Asian females — for example, in the 2002–2007 period, 23 percent of Chinese women in the UK married a white British husband, compared with only 9 percent of Chinese men who married a white British wife. Hence, a Chinese woman was more than twice as likely to marry a white person than a Chinese man. Let me know if you want some more data to explore. But generally, the US simply has the most detailed "racial" data in the world.
You don't account for selection factors. White female college attendance has gone up drastically in the past few decades. Not going is increasingly a signal of dysfunction.
Yes it seems like pretty much every young (under 30) white woman I meet these days has spent at least a few semesters in some sort of post-secondary education, even if they did not complete it.

Interesting read. I think interracial dating is also a selection phenomenon. In FL I’ve seen mostly fat white women have kids with blacks / black men are often blackcels.
I never really did much interracial dating (I did marry a Russian which is basically a white nigger), but many black women have been interested in me. Once, while intoxicated in downtown area, a group of black women surrounded me, squeezed my arms, and said “he got muscles.” Then they took photos with me. Once, while in college, a black African woman took a lot of interest in me and the main thing I noticed was how devastated black guys were about it.
The one thing I don’t get is attraction to Asian women. I think Asian women are much more attracted to white men than white men are attracted to them. I think it’s a purely biological reason rather than social engineering. Most wasian children I’ve known have not been significantly more fit than just regular white children. Either way, good read.
